Knife Gate Valves
The knife gate valves offered by AKO Armaturen are uni-directional wafer-type gate valves with flange connection according to EN 1092-2 PN10. The knife gate valves are available online in sizes DN 50 to DN 600.
The individual knife gate valve components are available in different materials, depending on the design and nominal width:
Body: Stainless steel 1.4408 or cast iron (GJL250)
Slider blade: Stainless steel 1.4401 (AISI 316) or 1.4301 (AiSI 304)
Seat seling: EPDM, Nitrile, PTFE, Silicone, Viton or metal sealed
Gland packing: braided PTFE, Graphite, ceramic fiber or synthetic fiber (PTFE-imgregnated)
Slider blade: Stainless steel 1.4401 (AISI 316) or 1.4301 (AiSI 304)
Seat seling: EPDM, Nitrile, PTFE, Silicone, Viton or metal sealed
Gland packing: braided PTFE, Graphite, ceramic fiber or synthetic fiber (PTFE-imgregnated)
The knife gate valves are available with different drive types:
Manual drives:
- Handwheel (with rising stem)
- Handwheel (with non-rising stem)
- Hand lever
Pneumatic drives:
- Single-acting pneumatic cylinder
- Double-acting pneumatic cylinder
Electric drives:
- Prepared for electric actuator
There are basically two types of knife gate valves available for purchase online:
Universal Knife Gate Valve (TYPE A)
Single-sealing wafer-type gate valve for general industrial use.
Single-sealing wafer-type gate valve for general industrial use.
Bulk Material Knife Gate Valves (TYP C)
Single-sealing wafer-type gate valve for bulk materials (powder or granulates).
Single-sealing wafer-type gate valve for bulk materials (powder or granulates).
Knife gate valves with larger nominal diameters than DN 600, other valve types - such as the knife gate valve (TYPE B) for media with high consistency - and valve spare parts are currently not yet available via the online store, but can be requested directly.
